Great design isn't about square footage. For this Austin couple, we redesigned two small closets around how each of them actually gets dressed. The results feel tailored, intuitive and surprisingly roomy.
His: A built-in wardrobe built around getting dressed easily
We reimagined every inch of his compact built-in wardrobe. Shirts are sorted by color and sleeve length, and shoes are grouped by use, from sneakers to boots to slippers. Belts and ties are streamlined into a single drawer, and a dedicated laundry station with two hampers fixes one of his biggest everyday frustrations.

Hers: A petite walk-in closet that holds it all
Her small walk-in closet got a custom design built to use every inch. Double-hang rods and color-sorted hangers double the hanging space, and pull-out shelves give every pair of shoes its own spot. Clear drop-front bins keep handbags visible, and over-the-door baskets and labeled bins put vertical space to work. It now feels bigger and brighter than it really is.
