As the days get warmer, excitement grows because summer is nearly here! Now is the time to start thinking about that vacation you have wanted to go on. If you’re like us, you may be planning a road trip to a fun far away destination. One problem, though, is the major mess that is bound to happen in your car when you’re basically living in it for hours or days. How can we avoid this from happening? Lucky for you, we have some answers.

First of all, no matter if you say you don’t, we are all guilty of throwing our trash on the floor of the car from time to time. I mean if you’re driving for 10+ hours and living off of fast food and gas station snacks, it’s kind of hard not to! One way to avoid this from happening is by getting a small trash can that fits in your car. This helps you resist the urge to toss that chip bag by your feet and allows you to keep a cleaner car and cleaner mindset as you go on your travels. There are numerous trash cans on Amazon that are made for the vehicle and fit perfectly in your car. Here is one that we recommend.

Next, if you have kiddos who you plan on traveling with, you’re going to need something that helps keep them occupied. This car caddy goes behind the driver and passenger seats and has a clear insert for a tablet. You can easily set up a video or movie for the kids, and reduce the number of times you hear, “are we there yet?” exponentially. It also has other storage compartments that hold tissues and any other supplies you need. This is great to keep objects off the floor of your car and have them in an easy-to-access spot.

This next product may be a little unconventional, but it is just as necessary. We are notorious for losing our phone, french fries, lip gloss, or any other relatively small item in the crack between the seat and center console. The Drop Stop seat gap filler is the perfect solution for this by filling up that area. Begone are the days of digging for those lost fries while trying to keep your eyes on the road.

Lastly, a foldable wagon for the trunk of your car is something we consider essential. Have you ever arrived at your Airbnb and dreaded the thought of having to lug all of your travel supplies from the driveway to the house? This product reduces the number of trips you have to make back and forth and subsequently reduces the stress you feel while on vacation. It is also great for bringing items to the beach, with large wheels that allow it to roll over sand. As an added bonus, it collapses flat in the back of your car!

We hope these tips help! Let us know if you try any of these out for your next road trip!
